Conversion Tracking and Attribution
Attribution Modelling
A customer rarely arrives once. They see a social ad, search your name a fortnight later, click an email and then buy. Last click attribution hands the whole sale to the email and tells you the social ad did nothing.
Attribution modelling decides how that credit is divided. The model you choose changes which channels look worth funding, which is why it is a commercial decision rather than a technical setting, and why we agree it with you rather than accepting the platform default.
We are also honest about the limits. No model is the truth, they are all approximations, and anyone selling perfect attribution is overstating what is possible. What a good model does is stop you making obviously wrong decisions.
Consent and browser restrictions have made this harder than it was, which is worth saying plainly. Fewer journeys can be observed end to end, so modelling now carries more of the weight, and the setups that hold up are the ones built on first party data rather than borrowed cookies.

How We Do It
We start by checking what you already have. Most accounts are recording something, and the useful question is whether it matches how your business actually defines a sale or a lead.
From there we agree what needs to exist, in what order, and what each piece is for. Measurement work goes wrong when it is built to capture everything rather than to answer specific questions.
Then we implement, test it properly against real transactions, and document it. You get a setup your team can understand rather than one only we can maintain.
Why Us
We have been running campaigns from our base in Surrey since 2005, which means we build measurement as people who have to use it, not as a technical exercise handed over at the end. That matters more than it sounds. Tracking built by someone who never has to make a budget decision from it tends to capture plenty and answer nothing. We have an in-house dev and tech team and accredited GA4 and Google Tag Manager specialists, so conversion tracking work is implemented properly rather than handed to a third party. We are independent, which means every client gets senior attention rather than being handed down the ranks. That holds whether you are a local business or a national brand. You get a named team who know your setup, honest advice about what is worth building, and a partner who treats your business like our own.

The Impact
Accurate tracking pays for itself before anything else changes, because it stops budget going to channels that only looked like they were working.
It also improves everything automated. Ad platforms optimise towards the conversions you report, so feeding them accurate data makes their bidding better without you touching a setting.

Frequently Asked Questions
Deciding how credit for a sale is shared between the touchpoints that led to it. Someone might see a social ad, search your brand a fortnight later and buy from an email. The model you choose decides which of those gets the credit, and therefore which looks worth funding.
Return on investment is what you kept against what you spent, not what the ad platform reported. Measuring it properly means factoring in margin, fees and the gap between a lead and a paying customer, which is where most reported figures fall apart.
A small piece of code on your site that tells an advertising platform something happened, such as a purchase or a form submission. It is how Google and Meta know which ads produced results, and it is also the part browsers increasingly block.
You define what counts as a conversion, install the tag or connect it through Google Tag Manager, then test it against real transactions. The setup is straightforward. Getting the definitions right so the numbers mean something is the part that takes judgement.
Because they count different things at different moments. Ads records a conversion at the click that caused it and uses its own attribution window. Your CRM records a deal when it closes, often weeks later. Neither is wrong, and the gap is manageable once someone explains which to use for what.
First click credits whatever introduced someone to you. Last click credits whatever was there at the end. Both are incomplete, and they flatter opposite ends of your marketing, which is why relying on either alone tends to defund something that was working.
Usually, because it looks at the whole path rather than the final step. It needs enough conversion volume to learn from, so smaller accounts see less benefit. We look at your numbers before recommending it.
It depends on how many platforms are involved and whether offline or CRM data needs connecting. A single site with straightforward goals is a small job. Multi-platform with a CRM integration is not. We scope it and agree the price upfront.
Yes, though what you can record depends on what people agreed to. Consent mode and server side measurement recover a meaningful share of what declines would otherwise cost you, and we are straightforward about what stays missing.
If you only run one channel, not really. As soon as you are running two or more and deciding how to split budget between them, you are doing attribution whether you formalise it or not. The question is only whether it is deliberate.
