You may be the creator of a Facebook page with the intention of attracting many views, but have a boring and unattractive page. Due to the important status Facebook now has as a marketing tool, having a great looking page has taken on far more importance in recent years.
Any SEO Company which is good will suggest it’s client to have static FBML page for their Facebook fan page.  Static FBML  not only gives better visibility but also generates good amount of reference traffic for the site too.
It’s no secret that updating you page to keep up with the competition is the way forward, but how do you go about doing so? Static FBML (Facebook Markup Language) is a subset of HTML, which allows page administrators to create and manage custom tabs on their Facebook pages (not personal profiles or groups).
Static FBML is easy to add, and can be done in three simple steps. Firstly, you must be sure that you are the administrator of the chosen Facebook page so that you can make changes to the static FBML. Next, you must access the Static FBML application, adding it to your page. Finally, a window will give you a list of Facebook pages in which you are listed as an administrator, you must simply select the one you want and click “add to page”.
Once this is completed, all you need to do is click the “edit page” hyperlink under your Facebook page logo on your wall. This will take you to the FBML editing area; here you must navigate to the “applications” area and select the “application settings” hyperlink, to ensure that the “tab” setting is added.  From here you can add HTML code to your newly created tab, as well as editing the title of the tab itself.
